Its our annual Worship and Church Picnic time. The Fellowship Committee is once again sponsoring the annual Church Picnic.
Come join us as we Worship together, relax outdoors and enjoy some great food and fellowship.
This year the picnic will be held on Sunday, August 12, at Altman Park. The committee will furnish the main course and church members are asked to bring a side dish to share. Everybody should bring his/her own table service and silverware.
To view our slideshows, you have to be registered on our site, and logged in. This is to keep pictures of our children and young people from being exploited. We regret that this has to be done, but the protection of our children is paramount.
Once you log in, the slideshow archives will be displayed.
Operation Christmas Child, sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse and the Rev. Franklin Graham, delivered over 11 million shoeboxes to boys and girls in 109 countries in December 2016.
We’ll be packing shoeboxes in November so please donate small items such as:
Do Not Donate: Used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives, or military figures; chocolate or food; out-of-date candy; fruit rolls or other fruit snacks; drink mixes (powdered or liquid); liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans.
Sunday School has begun! To help kick of the year, a bonfire was made, hot dogs were roasted, s’mores were devoured and much fellowship was enjoyed.
The Adult Sunday School Class is studying the Word through a DVD Bible study named “Twisting the Truth” by Andy Stanley. Clyde Bittner is leading the class and invites you to join the group each Sunday from 9:30 to 10:15 am.
Pastor Bill is leading a Tuesday evening study on I & II Thessalonians beginning at 6:30 pm thru November 13th.
Through the month of October, the youth will be collecting donations for fifty (50) shoeboxes for Operation Christian Child. There will be a decorated box located outside the church office (under the mailboxes) for donations. The shoeboxes will be assembled November 11th.
Some ideas for donations are: stuffed animal, soccer ball with pump, clothing outfit, sunglasses, tote bag/purse, hair bows, friendship bracelets, jump rope, books, art/craft items, etc. If you need additional ideas for donations, there is a list posted in the hall door outside the office. Also, monetary donations can be made to Mark or Renee Menanno and purchases will be made on your behalf. We already have the following donated items in sufficient quantities – crayons, bar soap and washcloths.
In December, through Advent, help the youth make a JOYFUL noise by bringing in your spare change. The Jingle Jug will return and the youth will be collecting coins to benefit the First Presbyterian Church Jeannette Food Pantry.
